I've been working very hard to integrate Google's social elements into this site. Google Friend Connecthas several features that interested me, like rating and comments. I've had some bad luck with comments and rating systems, and I'd presume that Google is here to stay for a while.
One of the advantages is that you can become a member of this site, though not mandatory to rate or comment (anonymous is allowed so far). At this moment I look a bit pathetic with some 20 odd members, but I hope more and more people will join.
Below you'll now see a bar showing you a sign-in or join function, last actions on the site, general comments for the site and membership.
