	Suzuki Introduces New Burgman Scooter With Fuel Cell 23 October 2009   File under  Suzuki Ecology Scooters   Author: Mike Werner   Location: Normandy, France At the Tokyo Motor Show , Suzuki showed off their new version of the Burgman Scooter. But this one is not like any other Burgman scooter as produced by the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer. No, this scooter has a hydrogen Fuel Cell on board. Suzuki have an increased hydrogen tank with a working pressure of 70 MPa (10,000 PSI). The 10 Liter tank can give the scooter a range of 350 km (if the surface is flat, and you're running at 30 kph, so in real life a range probably of 150 kms - not bad for 10 liters). The scooter is as good as totally silent, apart from the air-cooling required for the fuel cell unit. The Burgman would have the equivalent power of a 125 cc version. There are no indications from Suzuki if or when they are planning to introduce this new ecological scooter. The only "reject" of the motorcycle when running is water, so it's as pollution free as can be. The only problem is that you need hydrogen stations to tank up, and that's not something that is available (apart from Japan). But it's an interesting alternative to electrical motorcycles.
