It's been while since we've had a TV reality/documentary show that features motorcycles. At the top of the TV pile are without doubt the episodes of "Orange County Choppers" and "Wrong Way Round", which did a lot to promote motorcycles with the general public, thanks to the presence of two famous actors (Charley Boorman  and Ewan Mcgregor ). Several other shows have since then seen the light of day, some successful, and some not.
A new show is about to hit the airwaves, or rather the internet cloud. Called "The Motorcycle Diaries ", this show will follow 5 bikers (3 guys and 2 gals) on a journey through the USA, riding 25,000 miles, visiting 220 cities in 50 states. The 5 bikers include one male model and one female exotic dancer, so the bunch is not a bad looking group. Maybe not your typical biker group, but remember, this is TV-land. Looks matter!
Due to several typical mishaps in negotiating deals with TV networks, the episodes will start airing next week on their website, while the first information about the show will start airing today. According to the producers, the show is unscripted, so what you see is what you get.
The show will be heavy on the social media. With Facebook and Twitter, not only will you be able to follow the gang on their travel, but also communicate with them.
