Miracles do happen, as long as you wait long enough. Eventually even the worst situation can get better. That country located under the sea-level, The Netherlands, has been know to have one of the strictest speed limitations on earth (and possibly in the universe). Large parts of the big motorway axes (Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht) are often restricted to 80 kph, with an absolute maximum speed of 120 kph. It's enough to drive you bonkers when riding on your motorcycle in Holland. At least, lane splitting is legal, so that makes it slightly tolerable. But recently the Dutch politicians in the parliament (Tweede Kamer) are asking the Acting Minister of Transportation to increase the speed limits. The A2 motorway, from Amsterdam to Utrecht, has 10 lanes, with a maximum speed of 100 kph! Ludicrous! The politicians are asking the Minister to increase the limit to 130 kph, or even possibly 140 kph. The Minister has recently increased the limit to just 120 kph, the country's legal limit. Most political parties, even the ones that are on opposite parts of the political spectrum, want the nationwide increase to 130 kph, or 140 kph. I find it very positive that most politicians are now arguing for an increase in speed limits, while a year ago, they were dead set against it. So you see, miracles do happen. Chances seem to be good that they will increase the speed limit.
