Starting next year, anyone who wants to ride their motocross motorcycle on a circuit will require to have a Motocross Certificate issued by the Dutch motorcycle sport federation MON . Dutch crossers are no longer allowed to buy a motocross motorcycle and head for a circuit and ride some laps. Like with many other sports (car racing, golf, etc), Cloggies (=Dutch) require a certification after a basic instruction. The instructions will consist of basic elements, such as goggle cleaning, fuel management, what to do if you stall your engine on the track, etc. If you think about it, they are right to require, specially young beginners, to learn a bit before heading for a circuit. It is a dangerous sport after all, and accidents happen very rapidly. Some basic education can make life not only easier, but safer.
