It's almost like the Dutch Police Open link in a new window is becoming commercially minded, and customer-aware.

The Police in the small Dutch city of Hillegom Click for map have put a process in place, whereby individual inhabitants can directly request speed traps to be placed in their neighborhoods.

Dutch Police Speed Trap
So, if the people who live in a particular street think you're riding your motorcycle too fast, they request the Police to place a speed trap in the street. For a whole day, the cops will be making pretty photos of you and your motorcycle zooming through the street.

The following day, the cops send the results of the trap to the person who requested it.
