Tiffany Coates  , the British woman who has embarked on a UK to Mongolia motorcycle trip on her own (here's an interview with her - {link}), has started her trip badly. While riding her BMW R80GS, with 150,000 miles on the counter, she broke her rear suspension only a few miles into the trip.
That on its own is a bad way to start a long motorcycle trip, but between the UK and Germany, the rear suspension that was quickly replaced thanks to the fast response of some members of the UKGSer club, broke again just when she started riding in France.
Tiffany limped the BMW to Nurnberg, Germany, and replace the rear suspension. She's now into her third rear suspension in 48 hours, but still going strong. Apart from the nuclear holocaust, nothing will stop Tiff from reaching Mongolia. At the time of writing, she has reached Romania.
