Tire Pressure Systems To Become Mandatory In Europe?

AutoBlogGreen Open link in a new window report on a new law that will make tire pressure systems mandatory on all models after in the year 2012 in Europe. There's no mention whether this will include motorcycles, but what's good for the goose, will be good for the gander. Under inflated tires use more gasoline, and therefore emit more CO2. They are also a danger, since your braking distance increases.

The European Commission is planning to introduce this new law to decrease fuel consumption and CO2, and increase vehicle safety.

Tire Watch

I don't think that this will initially involve motorcycles, but for sure, motorcycles will be made to include a tire pressure in the nearby future.

Now the question is, will this also involve electric vehicles?? Betcha they haven't thought of that... I Agree Smiley
