Tour De France; Bicycle or Motorcycle Race ?

Tour de France 2007
Despite all the doping scandals, watching the Le Tour Open link in a new window is still interesting.

But after several hours behind the dumb box, I'm wondering if the famous Tour de France is a bicycle race or a motorcycle race. At times you see more motorcycles then bicycles.
