You may think that placing training wheels on scooters is a slight overkill if you don't know how to ride one, but some kids have never ridden a bicycle let alone a scooter or motorcycle.
TVS Motor  in India make a scooter range for teenagers called Scooty. They are 50cc scooters, made specially for kids (with some disposal income), and for those that still need to learn, they have equipped their Scooty with training wheels.
TVS don't call them "training wheels", they call them Balancing Wheels. Nice idea, but somehow, I don't think there will be many takers. But they do even have an electric scooter version available....
What kind of puzzles me, is that the training wheels are destined and targeted for girls, not guys. Does that mean that guys can ride, or are they too macho to admit that they can't? The dedicated website for the product is called Scooty Gals.... not just Scooty.
