On its own, no biggie... motorcycles tilt when you lean into a curve. But for trikes, it's a different matter. Jim Harrel together with Too Kool Cycles transformed his Harley-Davidson Tourer into a special trike. He added a second front wheel to the motorcycle, and made the front wheels tilt in the curves. When leaning into a curve, the wheels angle 25 degrees. The trike will only tilt when speeds are faster then 6 mph (10 kph). The trike is now called a TRT, meaning Tilting Reverse Trike. Riding trikes can be fun, but at times, you'll want to have the abilities that only a two wheeler can provide, so for that reason, Jim designed the motorcycle/trike to be able to remove the second front wheel within a few hours. Granted, it's not something you'll want to do everyday, but it does give you the possibility to adapt to whatever you want to ride. People who have seen his unique trike liked it. They liked it so much, they are asking for something similar. So now Jim is going into business. A kit is being made that will transform your late model Harley tourer into a TRT. Prices are not fixed yet, but count between US$8,000 and $12,000 for the full kit, including a matching paint job. So what we've got here is a Harley version of the Piaggio MP3, but nicer.
