Many of us dream of racing in the Dakar, and many have the talent to do so, but not the money, energy, motorcycle or passion. Plus, off road racing, like in the Dakar, can be very dangerous. But how would you race in a country unknown to you, call it an adventure race, but still be able to manage it? Especially if you want to "race" on a normal motorcycle, not a KTM Rally. A new motorcycle rally has been organized in Tunisia. Called the Tunisia Road Rally , it's a rally run on roads, not in the sand/mud. It's an all-in rally, meaning accommodation, race fees, support, etc. Best of all, you don't need to take that KTM Rally motorcycle, you can do it on your Hayabusa, 125 cc, Royal-Enfield sidecar or Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The rally is held between 22 and 30 October 2011, and you'll be accommodated in 4 or 5 star hotels, so no tent bivouacs for you. If you've got followers or fans, they'll be taken care of by the organization, and placed in the same hotels. They will be shown the tourist sites while you race to the next destination, and at night, you meet up with them. Great thing to bring your spouse and kids. Everyone wins. The race covers some 1200 kilometers, all via scenic roads. The special stages will be held on closed roads, so no danger for other vehicles. The fee is all-inclusive. €2375 will get you the ferry from France to Tunisia for you and your motorcycle or sidecar, all hotels, all meals and race fees. It also includes a big party at the end of the race. All you need to pay for is the fuel, which is cheap over there. The organizers have mechanics if your bike breaks down, so you don't need a support crew. Optional are recovery/repatriation insurance. There are special deals for your "supporters". They will be taken care off, transported by bus. Looks like a great race for all to enjoy, without breaking the bank, or your limbs.
