Texting and driving is lethal for motorcycle riders since car drivers are not paying attention (and they are already distracted by radios, mobile phone conversations, screaming kids, drinking coffee, doing their makeup, shaving, etc etc). Obviously texting while riding a motorcycle is even more dangerous since you are no longer in control of the bike.

The police officer's duty is to prevent us from doing this. For that, the cops need to show the way, and if we are to look at this San Antonio motorcycle cop, we'd all be texting while driving. What kind of a message does this send to the public?

Unsafe, not respectful and just plain stupid.
