Advertising comes in many different packages, from "normal" ones like magazine print ads, to more expensive ones like TV ads. In between the two are the likes of web site ads (like Google's one line Adsense), and all sorts of other types of ads. But one ad was experimented a lot several decades ago; subliminal ads. These are ads that are often projected (but can be sound as well) that is not visible to the normal eyes (or ears), but register in your brains. It's a hidden advertising. Click here to read more about subliminal advertising . Good old BMW motorcycles have recently used subliminal advertising as an experiment. In a cinema they projected an ad for their S1000RR motorcycle starring Ruben Xaus. Produced by Serviceplan in Munich, towards the end of the ad, they projected the BMW logo in a flash. No visible logo was displayed in the ad. Towards the end, Xaus asked the audience to close their eyes. Those that did would see the BMW logo! Here's a chart explaining the process (click on it for a bigger version), and below is a video clip not only explaining what they've done, but also the original S1000RR motorcycle ad. NOTE: This is a YouTube clip, not in a cinema, so don't even try to close your eyes, since all you'll see is your PC monitor... or worse. Interesting, but scary... what do you think?
