 Here are 8 British motorcycle safety PSAA public service announcement (PSA) or public service ad is a type of advertisement featured on television, radio, print or other media. Whereas the objective of a standard advertisement is to market a product, a PSA is intended to benefit the public interest, by raising awareness of an issue, affecting public attitudes, and potentially stimulating action. , in black & white from the 1950's. On one side they're funny, on the other side, almost everything they say still applies today. It's funny when you see these old TV commercials (made in 1954) since they use more or less the same terminology and sayings we use today, like "made for bikers by bikers". The first one, where the topic is introduced, I loved the presenter saying about "this business of road safety"..... He also likens a motorcycle to a handgun or a razor blade, saying it's as dangerous as the user wants it to be. Have a look, they are very interesting... and no... it's not a spelling mistake, they actually used the word RODE.....
