Vietnam: Using Fishnets To Stop Motorcycles 29 November 2011   File under  News Uniformed Travel   Author: Mike Werner   Location: Paris, France The police in Vietnam have found an unusual, but obviously very dangerous, way to stop speeding motorcycles. When a motorcycle refuses to stop for the police, the cops throw a fishnet over the rear of the motorcycle, snagging its rear tire. It'll bring the motorcycle to an abrupt stop, that's for sure. So far, none of the 21 people caught speeding and stopped this way were injured. Personally I think they might as well get a shotgun and shoot them. I prefer the way it's done in the photo.
