For those of you who are planning to attend the Bol d'Or 24 hour motorcycle endurance race next month (14/15 April) at Magny-Cours , there's an added advantage for going. The organizers are opening the circuit for all and their dogs (or bikes). But the really interesting thing about this open circuit is that they plan to allow you to ride your motorcycle AT NIGHT. The day before the endurance race, Friday the 13th of April (for some it's lucky, for some it's unlucky), starting at 21:00 (9 PM) until midnight, there will be several "trackday" sessions, allowing you to race on the circuit for 3 laps at night. So you'll be able to measure yourself on the same track, under the same conditions that will see the Bol d'Or racers the following day. If you are planning to participate, you'll need to follow the link below, and fill in the form (in French). If the number of motorcycle participating is under 100, the trackday (tracknight) is cancelled. It'll cost you €35 to do your 3 night time laps, and you will be checked for alcohol levels before participating. If you do not have a recognized race license (FFM), you'll need a proof of insurance that allows you to ride on a circuit.
