Xmas2012: A Few Motorcycle Branded Gifts
File under Gifts Ideas
Author: Mike Werner
We're getting closer to Christmas, so I better hurry up with the Christmas gift ideas for motorcycle lovers. I've seen that many of the gift ideas have been bought (I can track the Amazon-based gifts by the number of purchases), so here are a few more.
Many bikers are very loyal to the motorcycle manufacturer, and therefore it makes sense to give (or get) gifts for Christmas for that brand. Most manufacturers have interesting seasonal gifts, some more (KTM, Harley, Ducati and even BMW), while some offer very little (mostly the Japanese manufacturers). You can visit their respective web sites for ideas.
Here are a bunch of ideas per manufacturer, all available on Amazon US, and most of them are "different" than what is offered by the manufacturer on their own site.
Note: clicking on the price or photo will bring you directly to Amazon, hovering your mouse over the photo or price will give you more info.
Aprilia RSV Mille Wall Mural
How cool is it those people who hang a real motorcycle, usually an expensive one, on their walls in their apartment? Personally I prefer to ride it, but still, it looks cool when it's hanging on the wall. But it's expensive, and not many people have that kind of money.
Second best option is to buy this vinyl wall mural of the famous Aprilia RSV Mille superbike. It's monochrome (you determine the color) and it's 22" x 35".
BMW Keychain
Keychains are always welcome gifts, since less face it, in today's society you need to lock everything up, and not only your motorcycle.
This chrome keychain with the BMW logo weighs 2.1 ounces, so it's not going to make homes in your trousers or purse, but you'll be able to hang a few keys on it.
Cruztools RoadTech B1 Tool Kit for BMW
BMW motorcycle riders will know this issue... BMW requires special tools to maintain the bike. It's just on of their quirks.
These top grade tools are in a roll-up pouch so it's easier to take along. It even has a female Torx wrench.
Ducati Diavel Diecast Model
The Ducati Diavel is a hot motorcycle, and it's a best seller. Even if you're not into the Italian brand, you can't be indifferent for their power cruiser bike.
Here's a diecast scale model of the motorcycle by Maisto. It's on a 1:12 scale and it's 7" long.
Ducati Zippo Style Lighter
Although less and less people smoke, lighters are still handy to have, especially when it has got the Ducati logo on it.
Easy to carry, easy to use. Although at the price gasoline is at today, filling it up will probably be more expensive than the lighter itself...
Honda 2010 Goldwing Scale Model
Honda's Goldwing is their flagship motorcycle, envied by many, but very expensive to buy. A scale model from New Ray is far cheaper, and nice to have on your desk when you are longing for comfortable rides.
The Goldwing has been op my bucket list for as long as I can remember, but I guess a scale model is all I can afford...The model weighs 8 ounces, so a hefty model of a big bike.
KTM Funny Sign
Bikers don't like when you're messing with their rides, but since many "civilians" don't know that, here's a sign that says not to mess with your KTM motorcycle.
Just saying.... you never know.
Moto Guzzi Car Bumper Sticker
You may also ride in a car, but you can always show the world what your favorite motorcycle is.
Here's a car bumper sticker showing proudly the Guzzi logo. The 4" x 4" vinyl sticker will stick to anything, and last in any weather. Of course, you don't need to stick it to your car bumper.
Suzuki Patch
Patches play an important role in many motorcycle rider's lives. Patches could be gang affiliation, places you've been or in this case, motorcycle brands you are loyal to.
This is a cotton patch, measuring 5 by 1.5 inches and can be ironed on. So no sewing....unless you want to.
Triumph Car Bumper Sticker
Flying the flag has never been more true with this gift. A car bumper sticker to show the world where you affection lies. 4" x 3" sticker that can get sticked onto anything, and will survive the strictest of weather.
