After a hard fought battle, the Yamaha from the French GMT 94 team won the famous Bol d'Or endurance race. It was only in the early morning hours on Sunday, that it became obvious that the Yamaha was going to win against the favorites; the Suzuki Sert teams, despite crashing their motorcycle in the 2nd hour of the race. The Yamaha riders, Davis Checa, Sebastien Gimbert and Olivier Four, passed the finish line under ideal weather conditions, while 27 teams did not finish the 24 hour race. The first non-Japanese motorcycle was a BMW R1200S from BMW Motorrad Motorsports, who finished 23rd in the general, and 1st in the Open category. Click here to see the final results of the last lap
