Partially sponsored by FEMA the European Federation of Motorcycle Associations, the Clean Week 2020 - 2012 edition, is an annual competition to elect the best of the best in terms of electric vehicles.
Held at the Zolder race circuit in Belgium last week, a team of 12 motorcycle journalists gathered to test the entries; Brammo, Zero, Vectrix, IO, E-Max, Govecs, Dumco, Nimoto, Novox, Peugeot, Sens, Sym, Noveco, Emco and Solex.
The top prize of the European e-motorcycle went to the Zero S motorcycle. For the category electric motorcycles/scooters with speeds of less than 25 kph, the prize went to the Govecs Go S2.4, for speeds under 45 kph, again Govecs won with the T2.4, for scooters over 45 kph, Vectrix won with the VX 1li, and for the electric moped category, the prize went to the Nimoto Nimoto City 350.
As a note, in the electric car category, the Clean Car of the Year went to the Chevrolet Volt, Opel Ampera and Mitsubishi iMiev.
This is an annual event, so expect more next year.
