Renting A Motorcycle In The USA Or Europe

Whenever I go on holiday to a destination too far to go on my trusty motorcycle, I usually look for a place where I can rent a motorcycle locally. Often I don't find any, or if there is one, it's shady. Renting a motorcycle in the USA is more difficult than what you'd expect. Many rentals agencies have stopped renting motorcycles due to moronic lawsuits, and if they rent a motorcycle, it can be any brand motorcycle, as long as it's Harley.

EagleRider Open link in a new window is an exception. They are world's largest motorcycle rental company, and operate through out the USA and bits of Europe. Their main rental program is obviously Harley-Davidson, but they also have Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki and BMWs (plus dirt bikes, ATVs and even snowmobiles).

You can even pick up your motorcycle in one destination, and drop it off in another city, i.e., make your own tour (they also organize tours).

Most big cities in the USA are covered by EagleRider, plus France and the UK (and single locations in Spain, Ireland, Mexico, Austria and New Zealand).

Prices are reasonable, but depend on model and location.

So there you go. If you're travelling to one of these countries on your next holiday, and miss riding your bike, this is a great alternative.
