Social networking is the buzz nowadays, even for people who you recognize from the TV. You can now become "friends" of famous people, and famous motorcycle riders are no exception.

There are two main social networks out there, Twitter and Facebook, with Google+ the new kid on the block (but a kid who really is a gorilla).

There are many famous bikers out there who use the social media to communicate with their fans. And since we're talking the internet, companies are using the same media to let you know what they're doing. So it's a jungle out there.

Here's a list of all sorts of famous people who ride motorcycles, starting with professional riders (racers) and their teams or team members, but also TV and movie celebs, plus I've thrown in many motorcycle companies who use social media to talk to their fans.

You'll find, where available, alongside the person's name, their Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and web site, plus which country they're from, the language they Tweet in (I just list the Twitter languages) and in which area they are famous.

You can click on the Twitter, Facebook, Google + and/or Web icon to go directly to their site. If you're interested in what they write, you can obviously follow their ranting & ravings. Some is very interesting, some ain't.

If the person has a record on our own database (Celebs on Motorcycles), you'll see a small icon featuring a motorcycle. Click on that, and you're brought to their record, usually with a lot of photos of them on bikes.

There are lot of Facebook pages out there of famous bikers, but many are never updated, or they are for fan sites, so I left them out.

I'll be updating the list whenever I find someone of interest. If you know of someone, put it in the comments below, or send me an email...

BTW, you can follow my rants & raves as well:

You'll see four button on top of the listing. Pressing one of them will sort the list in the area the button is named, ie, Names is an alphabetically sort list of names, Types shows you per celebrity type (racer, organization, celeb, etc), Area is in which area they are famous (MotoGP, WSBK, Rally, Movies, etc) and finally a list sorted per country.  If data has been categorized, you'll see a small greenish triangle. Clicking on the triangle will expand or contract the data.
