Parking tickets, even for a motorcycle, are as common as cigar smoking women in Cuba. But what to do to get out of one of those pieces of expensive paper? In the USA, there's a service that can be found at the ParkingTicket.com website. They offer you the possibility to fight a ticket. It's not going to cost you much, but if they succeed in fighting the ticket, you split the winning with them. Fair enough! Since you've got to pay the ticket, you send the folks at ParkingTicket.com 50% of the fine. ParkingTicket.com then goes to bat for you. If they're successful in getting your ticket dismissed, they keep the 50%, and you don't need to pay the remainder. So you've won 50% of the fine. If they were not successful, you need to pay the remainder, plus a US$10 administrative fee. In that case you're out of the fine plus 10 bucks. The whole process is based on you entering your data in their website. But..... they have gone one step further on the technology ladder. They now offer an iPhone option. You get back to your motorcycle and see a parking ticket on it. Whip out your iPhone, take a photo with the built-in camera and upload it. Answer a few questions, and off the valiant people at ParkingTicket.com go to fight another hard battle on your behalf. Sounds interesting, especially when you receive a lot of tickets.
