UK: AA Now Offer Motorcycle Repair and Recovery Service 12 November 2008   Author: Mike Werner   Location: Normandy, France The Automobile Association (AA) of the United Kingdom is second to none. Now, they have expanded their service offering to their members with a full motorcycle repair and recovery service. They have invested £150,000 in five vans that are equipped with, custom made for the AA, equipment to recover and repair motorcycles (or motorbikes as they are called in the UK). The service is currently operational on the M25 {info} only (the M25 being branded world's biggest outdoor car park). The AA unit will be able to handle any breakdown, including flat tires. If the problem can not be handled on the spot, the van is used to take the motorcycle to a garage. They even have a trailer that can be used to bring a second motorcycle. The AA staff running these motorcycle patrols are all bikers themselves. Wouldn't it be great if all road assistance groups were like this? Kudos to the AA.
